This bread takes 5 minutes of hands on time and no bread baking experience! It’s the perfect shortcut for a busy night or if guests drop by unexpectedly.
Frozen bread dough
1 duck egg
A splash of milk
Sesame or poppy seeds (or whatever topping you want)
Thaw bread dough. Cut into thirds. Braid. Whisk a duck egg and a splash of milk in a cup. Brush onto the bread dough. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake according to package instructions. It should be starting to turn golden brown and sound hollow when it’s done if you tap on it. Baking time varies depending on how cold (or still a little frozen) your bread dough is when you braid it. Usually it takes 20 minutes at 375°F.
